Hello... my name is Berwyn, and I am a photographer! I appreciate the many categories of photography, but the one that I am most drawn to is fashion photography. I love the elegance and beauty that fashion photography captures. My passion for photography started out as a hobby. My first camera was given to me by my late grandmother, Lillie Bell Tripp, when I was still in grade school; I miss her dearly! The camera she gave me was a Polaroid land camera... some of the pictures I still have to this day. Clyde Tripp, my father, was also a photographer. So I guess you can say that I am kind of following in his footsteps. I say "kind of" because he had many other talents that I am, unfortunately, not blessed with.
I'm starting this blog to share some of my thoughts, ask questions and get some feedback on various topics relating to photography.
Let's discuss photography as an art form and as a science. I'd also like to discuss your feelings about photography, and more important, how you feel about being photographed. Photography is about capturing a specific moment or moments in time. And since time never stops, and the moments in our lives are forever changing, be prepared for open discussions about everyday life as I take you on a journey inside a photographer's mind.
Please feel free to comment on any topic or photos that I post. I want to know what you think. Both positive and opposing comments are encouraged. You can also email me at: berwyntripp@cox.net

Berwyn...I like your blog idea. I know you have other talents than photography. One is your ability to make anyone comfortable in any situation. ..that is a talent that will take you and you photography to different levels. About being photographed for me I carry a camera so I'm the one photographing instead of being photographed. However I have found being a student at PSC I don't mind being photographed as much anymore. It helps me learn, and it helps others as well.
ReplyDeleteAbout fashion. ..it doesn't surprise me that you selected fashion because you are one of the best dressed men I know!
Thanks Paula... and yes, I can agree with you. There are somethings we overlook as being a talent. Some are just more mainstream than others. As for as being photographed... I think most people are a little uncomfortable the first couple of times in front of the camera. Including me!
